2009 VRI Bowls Club Triples Championship

The VRI Bowls Club Triples Championship - for the Jack McFarlane Trophy - has been played for at Mulwala Services Club in July 2009.


Congratulations to all players for participating, especially to Leo McNamara, Phil Boyd and Barry Atkins, who won the Championship this year.

Finalists Bill Meyer, Les McLean and Alan Goudge had a good weekend, but were just not good enough in the final, to take out the win.

Thanks again to all who participated, 48 bowlers in all, we look forward to our next outing at Moama Bowls Club in August, 2009.

 

2009 VRI Bowls Club Pairs Championship

The VRI Bowl Club Pairs Championship - for the Alan Cowling Memorial Trophy - has been played for in Albury in May 2009.

Alan Krahe (S) and Frank Neagle won this championship - for the second time running - defeating Vic Podesta & Phil Boyd (S) in the final.
