President's Message:

The Ballarat VRI operates a number of sports, one of which is Indoor Bias Bowls.

The Centre, located near the Ballarat Railway Station in Lydiard Street, Ballarat.


Currently the Ballarat VRI has many members in the Victorian State Side of Indoor Bias Bowls, and
competes in the Ballarat Indoor Bias Bowls Association Pennant.

Ballarat VRI Club Singles Champion for 2009 Neil Maddern, runner up Duncan Tung.
 

Pairs Bill Seamons (Jnr) and Glen Richards defeated John Redfern and Barry Timmins.

In the Ballarat and District home and away season Div-1 and Div-2 finished

fourth. Both sides beaten in semi-finals.

Ballarat and District tournaments John Wakeling and John Redfern won the Pairs title for the second time in three years.

Ian Hedger was skipper of the mixed pairs and mixed fours Ballarat and District.

John Wakeling runner up mixed pairs.

Ian Hedger selected to represent Victoria in interstate tournament in Adelaide 17th Aug through to 21 Aug 2009.

 

 

Ballarat VRI Indoor Bias Bowls:


The Ballarat VRI also Functions as the Ballarat Branch of the VRI.

People can Join the Club, and Join the VRI Inc (refer VRI inc Page above for details).

The Ballarat VRI Bowls Club offers Competitive Indoor Bowls Games and Events, in #### Pennant, as well as Indoor Bias Bowls in Winter, and other social activities and sports, including Billiards, Snooker, etc.

Many members are also members of the VRI Bowls Club (refer vri Bowls Link above), and enjoy the weekends and games involved in this group.

People are encouraged to join the VRI and Ballarat VRI, to pursue enjoyment and make new friends in the Ballarat and surrounding areas.

Come on!  Give it a go - it doesn't cost much, and is a lot of fun!
